Kirby Cafe

Kirby Cafe Front

Kirby Cafe was one of the things I was most excited about when we started planning our Japan trip. The cuteness and thoroughness of the theme did not disappoint.

Kirby Cafe Window

Haha, I made it inside, suckers! All I had to do was wait 45 minutes at 8 in the morning to get a ticket to come back at noon.

Kirby Cafe Table

Hi Kirby! Each table had a posable Kirby figurine. The girl next to us had brought a dozen Kirby toys and was constructing a very elaborate diorama.

Kirby Cafe Plush

The waitstaff will seat you with Chef Kirby or Waiter Waddle Dee if you’re feeling lonely.

Kirby Cafe Kitchen

I didn’t manage to see Chef Kirby but I’m sure he was working his magic back there.

Kirby Cafe Art

My wall art at home suddenly seems woefully inadequate.

Kirby Cafe Toy

Amusing myself with Kirby while I’m waiting for food. He’s always in such a good mood!

Kirby Cafe Pancakes

Voila! [Very] overpriced pancakes with A LOT of raspberry cream. It definitely isn’t cheap to dine with the pink guy. But it is fun! You never come to a theme restaurant for the food but the experience was worth the trip. My favorite part was the Kirby Cafe soundtrack playing softly in the background. The downtempo arrangements of classic Kirby music are so good.
