I've always wanted to visit Portland. It's been called the sister city of Austin and I was curious to see it for myself. Portland is a fun city to walk around and explore. There are a lot of unique shops and yummy things to eat.
I think about the food that I ate in Japan constantly. Sure, the ramen and sushi and other regional specialties were incredible but just the normal everyday food was mind blowing.
My boyfriend found this place when he was looking up gluten-free restaurants in Japan. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable about eating gluten-free. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful.
As if riding a bullet train going hundreds of miles an hour wasn't enough of a thrill, the other fun part of going to the train station is the ekiben, or bento boxes, that you can buy to eat on the train. Japanese bento boxes are one of my favorite things to eat. I love the variety, the cute packaging, and of course, the food!
Kirby Cafe was one of the things I was most excited about when we started planning our Japan trip. The cuteness and thoroughness of the theme did not disappoint.
