Exploring San Francisco

Kate's Kitchen Big Guys Breakfast

Everything I ate in San Francisco was so good! I felt slightly better about constantly eating because we tried to walk as much as possible to explore the different neighborhoods. It was fun to come across farmers markets, street art, and interesting architecture.

Kate’s Kitchen

I ordered the Big Guys Breakfast. It comes with two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, sausage, and home fries. The ginger peach cornmeal buttermilk pancakes were yummy. The ginger added an interesting contrast. I’m not normally a breakfast sausage person but their sausage was surprisingly amazing. It’s homemade and perfectly charred and zesty. I think it’s seasoned with sage? Their sausage has kind of made me reconsider all future breakfast orders.

My boyfriend, our two friends, and I ordered 4 entrees and it could have easily fed 8-12 people. The portions are huge and everything was delicious.

Gluten-free: pancakes, biscuits, omelettes

Beyond the Border Tacos and Yucca Fries

Beyond the Border

As a native Texan, I’m always slightly wary of tacos from other states. Sometimes, they’re a bit off from what I’m used to. Fortunately, Beyond the Border’s tacos were flavorful and the yucca fries and chipotle aioli were tasty. The steak was tender and the lime marinade complemented the chimichurri and orange sauces well.

Sweet Lime Thai Cuisine Pad See Ew

Sweet Lime Thai Cuisine

I’m still thinking about the noodles in the pad see ew. The beef was a bit dry but the noodles and vegetables were incredible. The noodles were chewy and had a great bite. They tasted fresh and had great flavor on their own. I was sad when I was too full to finish them off.

Gluten-free: yellow curry

Vegetarian: pad see ew with tofu
